Sacrifice The Book of Truth

Berean's Bible Study - Mark

Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with
great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.  [Acts 17:11 NIV]

Mark

The Gospel of Mark is written simply, and is based on eye-witness accounts of our Lord’s miracles, teachings, empathy, and emotions.  It is a wonderful testimony to our Lord and to His amazing life.

This Gospel was written by John Mark, who worked alongside of the Apostle Simon Peter.  As they worked, Mark observed, listened, studied, ministered, and remembered.  At this time family stories were told and retold by family elders to their youngsters, so that family stories and traditions were accurately passed-down from generation to generation.  Story-telling (and the willingness to accurately remember) was finely honed, since education - reading and writing - was unusual among the common people.  The Gospel of Mark was written based on the testimony of eye-witnesses to the ministry of our Lord Jesus.

Why study the Gospel of Mark?

Class Organization

This study will be conducted differently from past studies.  As usual the questions are designed to be completed each day.  We then meet each Sunday morning at 9:00 am (Central Time) via Zoom teleconferencing and collaboratively discuss our answers.

Please pray that we will “finish the race” [Acts 20:24].  Please pray that we seek wisdom, insight, and motivation from God’s Holy Spirit as we answer these questions and delve into God’s Word.

Our Discussion Leader is Chuck Tremain.  Enjoy our collaborative discussion as we learn together!

Unlike past studies, the lesson-questions are designed to be downloaded, printed, and filled-out.  There are no study books to buy.
